THE IDEA
Every year, we ask ourselves how we can reduce our footprint. For us, that means building further on the audit by 'A Greener Future', together with our whole crew, from eco-manager to food partners, to you.
THE CHALLENGE
Thousands of people in one place inevitably leaves a mark. Waste is the obvious issue, but travel and food are among the biggest emission sources at any festival. Our goal: prioritize waste sorting, keep food fully vegetarian and locally sourced, encourage greener travel, and work with partners who share this vision, on and off site.
GREEN ON-SITE INITIATIVES
Better waste sorting: this year we further fine-tuned our recycling system with our eco-manager.Food & drinks: fully vegetarian since day one, with many new dishes on the menu this year, chosen with sustainability, local sourcing, and low waste in mind.Free water stations: now with an extra spot near the second toilet zone. Stay hydrated without plastic waste; refill your XRDS reusable bottle for free.Cigarette pouches: free at the entrance, merch & care stand. Respect for the terrain: we run a protection plan to spare the grass and the park as much as possible each year.
GREEN MOBILITY
Travel is one of the biggest emission sources, so here's how we make it greener.
Electric artist drives: 30+ artists get picked up electric or hybrid this year, thanks to Cupra vehicles provided through D'Ieteren Mobility Company.Carpool with Slinger: share rides, fewer cars, lower emissions, split costs.Shuttle buses with Keolis: direct connections from Belgian cities.Public transport & bikes: with safe bike storage on site
GUESTS IN THEIR HOME
The festival grounds are expanding this year, giving you more room to dance, explore, and chill. That makes it even more important to leave Vijverspark as clean as we found it, a delicate ecosystem, home to protected plants and animals. We're just guests here.
IT TAKES ALL OF US
Our mission only goes as far as you take it. It starts at home, choosing low-emission travel where you can. It continues in the park: reduce, reuse, recycle, and remember, nothing belongs on the ground.
Thank you for staying conscious, supporting your crew, and showing the world that the electronic music community cares about our planet.
