Rooted in far Eastern culture yet influential far beyond it, Wata Igarashi and returning fan favourite DJ Nobu form an intense pairing as they take over 'Viaduct' at XRDS26 on Saturday, August 15.The two mythical figures from Japan’s intriguing underground will meet under the bridge for once. DJ Nobu, founder of the long-running Future Terror parties in Chiba (Japan) and head of the Bitta label, has built his reputation through extended sets drenched in dark, hypnotic techno. Wata Igarashi, closely affiliated to Midgar Records, approaches the dancefloor with cinematic textures and a more introspective, experimental outlook. With releases on labels such as The Bunker New York, Semantica, and Time To Express, both artists have become key figures in expanding the global reach of Asian electronic music, and we can't wait to have them over.
