A moment of clarity in a Vietnamese jungle was all it took. Dax J came up through jungle and drum and bass before that moment pointed him toward techno and he never looked back. The London-born, Brussels-based DJ and Monnom Black founder built his name the hard way: pirate radio, bedroom decks, 30 records worn to the grooves, first tracks made on a PlayStation. Known for a dark, raw, post-industrial techno rooted in real hardware, he takes it a step further on Saturday, bringing his machines to the Viaduct Stage for the debut of his brand new live set.
